Grand Opening
At Grand Opening, you will be welcomed to University of Twente by the Kick-In Committee, the Student Union, and the Rector Magnificus. In addition, an opening show will be performed! We will kick off this fantastic period together!

Do-Group Market
At the do-group market you will choose your do-group! A do-group is a small group of about 8 to 12 first-year students of the same study programme. You will experience the entire Kick-In together with your do-group! Often, the students from your do-group will remain your friends for the rest of your student life!

OKIC Dinner
Have dinner together with your do-group and your do-group parents organised by your study association! This is a moment for you to get to know your fellow do-group kiddos and your do-group parents.

Road to Enschede ft. Cnødde
Walk to the city centre in a big parade! Many associations and do-groups will walk together across the Hengelosestraat to the city for the first party of the Kick-In. [BRING YOUR OWN CUP]

Aspen Valley Kick-Off Party
To celebrate the start of the Kick-In there will be a party at Aspen Valley in the city centre of Enschede. This will be the first party together with your do-group. A night you won't forget soon!

Apollo Culture Festival
During the Culture Festival, you will be able to walk around a market where the culture associations of University of Twente will present themselves. Make sure to take a good look, because if you are interested, you can sign up for some of their free workshops!

Dancing, singing, playing an instrument, or doing something else? Get to know the culture associations by participating in their workshops! You can sign up for the workshops beforehand or sign up during the Apollo Culture Festival.

Storming of the Bastille
The Storming of the Bastille is considered the start of the fabulous student life at our university! In a spectacular obstacle course and water events, you will be storming towards the Bastille. Your do-group has to give it all to show that you can work together and have the best endurance.
For this activity, a ticket can be obtained to enter via the fast lane. Head do-group parents can pick-up the fast-lane tickets between 10:00 and 13:00 at the start of the Storming of the Bastille, whilst stock lasts.
Nonetheless, you also can join this activity without a ticket!

Programme information
During the general programme you'll get to know your fellow students, the campus, the city centre of Enschede, and all the various associations at our university. The programme consists of many activities to introduce you to the student life of Enschede! The general programme takes place between Wednesday the 21st of August 2024 until Sunday the 25th of August 2024 and from the evening of the 28th of August 2024 until the 29th of August 2024. The gap is filled by the study-related programme organised by your study association and your study programme!
