9:30 AM - 8:00 PM	Science & Technology - General Introduction Welcome to the Faculty Kick-In! We are very happy that you will soon be starting at the Faculty of Science and Technology (TNW) at the University of Twente. On Tuesday 25 August 2026, we have prepared an inspiring introduction day for all new Master’s, pre-Master’s, exchange, HBO transfer, and Kies op Maat students within: • Applied Physics • Biomedical Engineering • Chemical Science & Engineering • Health Sciences • Nanotechnology • Technical Medicine A day designed to give you a strong start to your studies: getting to know each other, discovering your study environment, connecting with fellow students, and experiencing what studying at TNW is all about. We start the day at 09:30 with a joint welcome presentation, giving you your first introduction to your programme and the faculty. After that, you will get to know your new study environment and will meet, among others: • your programme staff • the systems you will use during your studies • practical aspects of student life and study organisation (acculturation) • your fellow students and the study association In the afternoon, we will provide a shared lunch followed by a tour of the faculty facilities, so you can already see where you will be spending a lot of your time. We will end the day with a social activity and a relaxed BBQ in the evening – a great opportunity to get to know each other better and celebrate the start of your studies together.
