World Associations

At the University of Twente you will encounter many different cultures because of the high number of international students. If you want to get to know these cultures even better and make friends from all over the world, there are a number of world associations that each represent a country or foreign culture. They organize cool activities in which you see, hear, taste, and experience the other culture. Furthermore, the activities are very educational, since getting to know a new culture puts your own principles, habits, and customs in perspective. Interested in what membership of a world association entails? Visit the websites for more information.

Connecting Hands at the UT aims to bring refugees and students together. To achieve this, we work
on projects and organize events to bring people with different backgrounds together to have fun, to
meet new people, to grow and to improve their hard and soft skills.
We’re a small association with enthusiastic students from all over the world. We have a sports,
culture, education and women committee that organise a whole range activities. Some examples:
volleyball tournaments, cooking workshops, job interview trainings or dance classes.
Are you ready to join in on the fun?
